At the core of every worthwhile endeavor are those whose caring and personal leadership set the course for others.

In our community, thousands of generous and caring individuals partner with United Way of Adams County to change lives and build community. Leadership givers combine public purpose with private giving to make strategic investments in the whole range of health and human service issues in our community. Because United Way of Adams County only funds programs with proven methods that match our community's needs, United Way supporters can be assured that their investments are really making a difference.

Our leadership givers are individuals and couples who contribute $500 or more annually to our community.

2023 Annual Campaign Giving Society Leaders

  • LIVE UNITED Award: Billie Grawe

    • Billie Grawe started her career with Mercantile in 2008. Mercantile is highly involved in the community and so Bille started to get involved with United Way of Adams County as a Loaned Executive.  Billie grew up in Quincy, but never knew the trials and hardships some families were experiencing.  This led to her truly wanting to continue the mission of United Way.  Billie talks about giving her talents in any helpful way to give back to her community. She has been on several committees including being a Loaned Executive and Resource Investment.   When Junior Achievement was housed with United Way she started that program as well, mentoring children each year with financial literacy classes.  Billie joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and then moved into the role of Co-Chair for Resource Investment. Billie is a shining example of what it means to lead life with your heart! We are very excited to present Billie with our Live United Award this year. Thank you, Billie, for all you do for us, our community and for our 17 partner agencies. YOU are United Way!
