Quincy, IL - November 5, 2025 - United Way of Adams County’s Adams County Together initiative will host a meal kit distribution for SNAP recipients on Friday, November 7, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Quincy Senior & Family Resource Center, located at 639 York Street.

This event is part of a coordinated community response to ongoing SNAP benefit delays that continue to impact families across Adams County. Individuals and families who receive SNAP benefits are eligible to participate. Those attending must bring their EBT card and a valid ID. We also ask that they enter through the northeast doors of the building. Please note that meals are
limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The meal kits are made up of nonperishable food items and are designed to provide easy, nutritious meals and will include simple preparation instructions to help families make the most of the ingredients provided.

“Many of our neighbors are feeling the strain of the SNAP delays. This distribution is one way we can help ease the burden many families are facing right now,” said United Way of Adams County Executive Director, Jenna Hull.
